As and example I put a "Ruger" safety notch in my Howell cylinder for my Old Army since I figured that I didn't need six of them. Both ate kirst cylinders. I recently loaded the 38 with heeled 150 grain bullets over 18 grain equivalent of American Pioneer Powder. Accuracy was non existant. Cowboy loads will use lead bullets. So long as your not running max loads, you will be under that 14k limit, closer to the 12k for the cylinder.
