WebbTrails developed by herds of buffalo and used by Native American’s (Warrior’s path) and long-hunters (18th-century explorers and hunters), were in existence to guide them through Cumberland Gap, present-day Middlesboro, and Pineville northward. WebbThis hike is different from most Pinnacles hikes. We will explore the 6.5-mile North Wilderness Trail, a less-visited and unmaintained trail. It should feature ample wildflowers! We also will hike 3.3 miles each way from the Bear Gulch Reservoir to the summit of North Chalone Peak (3404'), the highest point in the park.
